Itunes will not download

I cannot get iTunes to downlad...if I select Run it locks at 14%...if I
select Run it locks at 79%.

Any help/ideas/solutions will be greatly accepted by this non techie.
 
Have you tried downloading it to your hard drive and then doubleclicking it?
 
Contact Apple technical support for assistance with their servers or
products.
