Itunes problem

I recently downloaded iTunes 7.2 and ran into a problem where iTunes would
not sync with my iPod. iTunes is saying that i don't have enough access
privileges to write to ipod. I have checked the properties of the music file
and it shows my profile as an administrator and allows for full access. I
can't seem to figure out the problem. I even uninstalled iTunes 7.2 and
reinstalled 7.1 and am still having the problem. - I am running Vista Home
Premium on my laptop. I have downloaded all of the updates for Vista. Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Try puting your ipod into Disk access mode. (See iPod as a Disk, or some
such setting in the prefrences)

To add..
Preferences is an iTunes option for configuring the software(iTunes/Edit/Preferences)
Enable Disk use is not on the iTunesPreferences menu.
It resides under Devices/Ipod/Summary tab
- last item under the Options section(Enable Disk Use)
- Note: 'Devices' is visible after connecting the Ipod
