Can't sync to your IPod from ITunes with Vista? Get Winamp!

After hours of wrestling to get ITunes to sync with my IPod Shuffle--I was afraid to try my bigger IPods--after the newest, supposedly Vista compatible version of ITunes was downloaded...I found, in a tech forum, someone who always uses Winamp to sync her IPod. So I updated my old version of Winamp and sure enough, that's the ONLY thing that worked for me. I'd done everything from always opening ITunes as an administrator to becoming "owner" of ITunes and setting permissions...all the suggestions I'd gotten here. Now...I can drag and drop, create playlists or set preferences for synching and autofilling with Winamp. One more Vista issue down...how many more to go, I never know 'til I try something new...

hi there ,just reading through some of these posts and came across yours.Ihad
same problem with my sons ipod when i got my vista laptop .spoke to my
brother (I.T)and he said its because apple and ms have had a bit of a falling
out and arnt playing together.Not much good to us poor smuks who pay there
wages.I finaly got it working though (with help from big bruv),have you tried
limewire?it works fine on vista

I finally got Winamp to sync, but I have Limewire, and never thought of trying that! Thanks!
