Getting Windows Vista Media Center to reconize M4P files

I recently got Windows Vista and love it! Anyway i have been using iTunes +
iPod for a while. But to put it frank, iTunes sucks! I want to have Windows
Media Center reconize all my music. My music is stored in the iTunes folder.
Is there anyway i can get it to work, i have made myself a back-up disc with
iTunes. So if i have to i will just import the music and use Media Center for
playing the music.

Is there any FREE programs that can convert M4P files to WMA? Can iTunes
read and sync WMA files?? And what is M4P??

Also if it is going to be this difficult to get Apple music to work, is it a
better idea to wait for Christmas and buy a Zune?? (in London the Zune comes
out in "end of 2007")

Thanks,

Do a Google search - there are a couple of free programs that will convert
protected AAC files to MP3, e.g. I have used a program called Sound Taxi
(?) that works well but costs $15.00 US. (I have about 650 songs that I
downloaded from Itunes in my Windows Media Player. Go to forums in ZuneScene
for more info.) Good Luck!

Tom, thanks for your reply. Does that program include a free trial? If not i
will not spend $15 for my iPod. I will buy a Zune.
