Is it actually settling and staying on the ground? It's very cold here, but not snowing yet.

I remember when I started University we were still outside revising in the sun in T-Shirts at the end of Oct, which for Manchester is quite a rare thing ;) Don't think I'll be doing that this month!

Not settling on the ground yet - but a bit on the cars and bushes.

The white fluffy stuff drops down in Stavanger, Norway also and that is NOT as we expect it to be. Two days ago we had the first proper autumn storm. but luckily it's not building up :)

Welcome to the site bnesheim :D I bet you get a lot more snow than we do in the UK even if Stavanger is almost level with the Northern tip of Scotland. :thumb:

Less in fact. The gulf-stream is close to the coast so the winter along it is very often more like a VERY long autumn, lasting from late september to early april.
In the mountains, less the an hours drive away, the story is totally different. :)

Interesting map Urmas. So the rich Finns live in the south and north and drive cars when they are pished.
