Its now safe to turn off

Hi guys!
am using windows XP pro.. my problem is that when i
shutdown my PC i dont get the message "Its now safe to
turn off your computer".. this was the case even with the
earlier versions of windows.. help me in this regard..

Does your computer just shut off, or get stuck at the shutting down screen?

If it just shuts off, that's completely normal. Your computer is capable of
shutting itself off.
