Its now safe to turn off your computer

I sent a post requesting how to have my computer shut down
when I click Start/turn off computer, instead of getting
the message "its now safe to turn off your computer" and
then shutting it down.
I received a reply, but unfortunately can`t read any
replies to the posts. Is there some technical problems
with the newsgroups right now? Anyway....please respond to
this post with a NEW post, using Its now safe to turn off
your computer as the subject. Please don`t post a reply. I
can`t read it.
