It's a load of Junk

Hi all,

I'm currently running Outlook 2003 on Win XP SP2. When ever I receive junk
mail Oulook crashes.

I've tried doing a repair on Outlook and on the PST file, but to no avail. I
have also tried to turn off junk mail filter again no luck.

Any help on how to stop Outlook from crashing would be much appreciated.

Does Outlook display any error message/number? Please also check your
application event viewer to provide details on any Outlook-related events. I
would be looking for event ID numbers and sources information from those.

No, there is no error number, just a message telling me Outlook has a error
and will close.

This is all I get, when I go to Microsoft all it tells me is that there is
no information on this error.

I have checked for spyware, using Adaware and Spybot. Also scaned for a
virus using Avast. Nothing cropped up on both.

Are you using any add-ins? Some of them are not compatible with Outlook 2003,
such as Snag-It. Disable add-ins one at a time and test Outlook.

No, I'm not using any add-ins. When I receive junk it crashes, when I delete
the junk it carshes and when I empty the Deleted Items folder with the junk
in it crashes. Takes 3 re-starts, of Outlook, to get rid of junk mail.

I'm using Snag-It with Outlook 2003 and it works just fine...did you mean an
older version of Snag-It, maybe?
