it never finds any spyware

So I used to use Ad-Aware and that progrma would alsways
find a mot of Adware and Spyware. But when I switched
over to Beta AntiSpyware, it runs and never finds
anything. The definitions are up to date and everything
runs correctly but it has not found one spyware. Has
anyone else run into this?
