I'm having problems with a system (Tyan Tiger 100 440BX motherboard)
containing a Promise Ultra133 TX2. When I try to use devices attached
to the onboard IDE I get timeouts, read/write failures and apparent
hardware ejection. Copying large files (200MB) between the hard drive
on the onboard IDE and one of the ones on the Promise card sees random
write errors and bugchecks.

I started off with drivers that ship with Windows Server 2003, and then
upgraded them to the latest from the Promise web site. The firmware on
the card has also been updated. I have no problems under Windows 2000
or Linux. Is there a compatibility problem with Windows 2003, or do I
need to configure something better? I've tried disabling DMA. I've
tried reinstalling and having the boot partition on a different hard drive.

On board IDE:
IDE channel 1:
* Master = 10GB Western Digital hard drive (ATA-33)
* Slave = Creative DVD drive

IDE channel 2:
* Master = Yamaha CDRW

Promise Ultra133 TX:
IDE channel 1:
* Master = 80GB WD hard drive (ATA-100) (boot and system partitions)

IDE channel 2:
* Master = 30GB Maxtor hard drive (ATA-66)

Note: the 10GB WD drive cannot be used on the Promise card. I tried
that but it kept making clanging noises and spinning up and down.
