I had a problem on my daughters computer that was caused
by having both on and after removing 1.0 it fixed the
problem. I cannot remember what the problem was now but
you do not need both.

If .Net Framework 1.0 is installed, it will show up under WinXP SP2 as
well (together with v1.1 if that one is installed also). There is no
correlations between .Net Framework versions and WinXP service packs.
There should be no problem having both v1.0 and v1.1. installed at the
same time, this is fully supported (different software can be dependent
on different versions of the .Net Framework).
