Is this IE issue or Spyware?

I have Ad-aware 6.0 installed and it doesn't find this...
Everytime I type in a wrong address in the Internet Browser, i'm taken to
www.errorplace.com and then a pop-up that looks like Microsoft Windows window
popsup to say in order to see page I must click yes. Until then the page
won't load. Which I don't bother to click and leave the website. It screams
Spyware but with the new changes to Microsoft I just don't know. Any ideas?

Have a look in your hosts files for website entries at the end of it

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\HOSTS

Open it up in notepad

If you have any entries at the end that contain references to that site then
delete them

[Only entry you probably need at the end of it is
127.0.0.1 localhost]

Make a backup of your hosts file before changing, just in case.

It can take more than one program to ferret out all the spyware and
malware nasties:

Run these programs to check for spyware/malware. After installing
update them, then boot into safe mode and run them. You should update
and run them weekly.

Cwshredder
http://aumha.org/freeware/freeware.php#cwshred

Ad-aware SE
http://www.lavasoftusa.com

Spybot Search and Destroy
http://www.safer-networking.org

Bazooka Adware and Spyware Scanner
http://download.com.com/3000-2144-10247783.html

Pest Patrol Free Pest Scanner
http://www.pestscan.com/ScanOrTrial.asp

After your system is clean use these programs to help keep it clean:

Spywareblaster
www.javacoolsoftware.com/sbdownload.html

Spywareguard
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/sgdownload.html

IE-SPYAD

Simple, find the file with Windows explorer, then double
click on it, a dialog box will pop up asking you what
program do you want to use to open this file, choose
notepad, also make sure to uncheck the box that says
always use this program to open this type of file.

Another alternative is to right-click the HOSTS file and choose Open,
choosing "Select a program from a list" if that pops up, and /or selecting
Notepad from the list

I would try CWShredder - at www.aumha.org/freeware.htm\cwshredder
on that. Also there is a new version of AdAware - Adaware SE, which you
should get. Go to http://lavasoft.element5.com/support/download/ and
click any of the Mirror Sites at the bottom of the page

Then at the main www.lavasoftusa.com get the VX2 cleaner plugin for it
