Is there ANY good DVD player software for XP????

Maybe I haven't configured something correctly, so if anyone can tell me,
because I have tried installing these packages about 50 times

I'm looking for DVD playback software for XP that can:

1) Play back DVD discs
2) Play back DVD-R discs
3) Play back DVD off the hard drive

Windows Media Player 9 - doesn't play off the hard drive
WinDVD 5 - Locks up on program start up and program shut down if I dont have
a DVD in the drive
PowerDVD - Doesn't play audio when playing off the hard drive
Sonic - Doesnt play off the hard drive, even though it says it does, I
always get a volume label error

Problems with WinDVD and PowerDVD:
Didn't happen to me. So that's probably a hardware (driver ??) problem.

2 MP9: Yes, it doesn't play DVDs, but search for a file called DVDPLAY.EXE
in your
windows-dir. That's what you are looking for. Of course you need some
DVD-Codecs to
play DVDs with DVDPLAY.EXE (not included in XP).

I get Media Player, Real One and Ulead DVD Creator to
play mpg files off the hard drive by going to the file in
Explorer, right clk the file and choose player from the
menu.
