Is it safe to use those custom themes and the applications and SP3

Is it safe to use Windows Blinds or Style XP? I have read some bad comments
in the past, but I cant find any other good - and affordable - software that
will let me change the way XP looks. I really would like to have a new look
to my desktop besides using tons and tons of different wallpapers which just
doesnt have the effect of having a new theme.

Is it possible is Windows XP SP3 will have a change that will now allow
users to make thier own XP themes? Windows Vista is eventually going to
replace it but this could atleast extend the value and fun in using XP while
the rest of us save up to get Vista later on.

Thanks for your time,

Yes, it is safe to use these programs. But be careful when changing boot
screen..

I had a bad experience with Window Blinds. Sometimes when changing themes, it
hanged and changed my theme to classic then i rebooted, still my theme was
classic and I was not able to apply xp theme until the program was
uninstalled. I installed it again but the same experience again.
I like Style XP. Good experience in the 15 days trial. I now use
LogonUIBootRandomizer. Object Dock is good too.

Don't think there will be anything (Legal) like XP SP3.

Is the windows blinds trial edition a limited 60 day trial or can you use it
to just change the theme to the preset themes it comes with for as long as
you want?

Thanks.

XP SP3 is not due out until 2008. No MS will not change the uxtheme.dll. MS
msstyles are digitally signed by MS. It is a question of Support. MS will
only support msstyles that they release.

Are there any free ms released themes that could replace Luna for XP? Because
I dont trust Windows Blinds so much because of the reviews it got.
