Hi Nicholas,

Had a look at the windows site for downloadg the updates manually I get a
list of the ones i want but the download now button is greyed out and i can
get no further.
Any ideas.

first go to the update website, and perform a search, then make a quick note
of all the six digit references for you (and there categories they are in),
that you should be downloading, and any others that don't have that type of
reference...... then

go to the update website, and in the top of internet explorer in the address
bar...... add the following on the end

?corporate=true

so it says something like
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp?corporate=true

and click go, you will find, it allows you to search all of them, and
download them to the specified location....but only click the ones that your
pc originally asked for, as if you download on that you don't need, or
shouldn't need, you make render your system unusable....

it might take time doing all this, but I bet it is quicker than downloading
them all the time, again, and again....

Regards.
