Is it possible to open a network connection from command line?

Hello,

I have set up a PPPoE connection in control panel network connection folder.
I would like to open that PPPoE connection dialog box (like double click on
its icon) using command line. Is this possible?

I prefer letting a modem or router do the PPPOE so that it is always
available and firewalled. However you should be able to put a shortcut on
the desktop by right clicking the connection in Control Panel and select
shortcut.
