Is HD using USB2.0 or 1.1

I recently installed a 120 GB USB2.0 HD as well as a USB 2.0 card (ALI
PCI to USB Open Host Controller), and want to make sure the HD is
using the USB 2.0 and not USB 1.1
I am trying to resolve some video capture problems (dropped frames)
and checked the system properties hardware device manager and found
that there are two listings under Universal Serial Bus Controllers.

The first one was expanded and had the following sublistings

ALI PCI to USB Open Host Controller
ALI PCI to USB Open Host Controller
ALI PCI to USB Open Host Controller
Intel(r) 82801 BA/BAM USB Universal Host Controller 2442
Intel(r) 82801 BA/BAM USB Universal Host Controller 2444
USB Mass Storage Device
USB Root Hub
USB Root Hub
USB Root Hub
USB Root Hub
USB Root Hub

The second Universal Bus Controllers heading contained the following
sublistings

ALI PCI to USB Open Host Controller
USB Root Hub

Do the two USB Controller listings AND all the duplicate entries in
the first in the device manager seem normal?
If it doesn't, what should I do to correct all the duplications?

You should see the following if you are using Microsoft's drivers:
Microsoft USB 2.0 Enhanced Host Controller Miniport Driver
You need a Win 2K/XP with a current service pack.

Am not saying you're wrong using stated hardware. But, folks who frequent
dvd associated groups say to use Firewire for this or writing to DVD
concerning video. USB2 is trouble they say.

Does the motherboard have an on-board USB 1.1 controller? If so, disable it
in CMOS setup.
