ipconfig dosent work

In command Promt, I got no return on "Ipconfig" cursor just go to a new line
and that's it. Other commands works fine. What to do?

Some viruses and malware program will create fake
programs that look like the real thing but don't do
anything useful. In your case it might be called ipconfig.com.
The correct program resides in the system32 folder and
is called ipconfig.exe. Get rid of ipconfig.com, and scan
your machine for malware, e.g. with AdAware.

And no, upper or lower case does NOT matter under
Windows. A simple test will prove it to you.

I have no other ipconfig file other then the exe in system32 and Ive tried to
run it too and the same thing occurs. Have run Adaware also.

Perhaps your version is corrupted. Run sfc.exe (System
File Checker) from the Command Prompt, and/or
replace the file from the i386 folder of your WinXP CD.
