Can someone please remind me what the XP command is that brings up the IP
interface which shows you the IP address and allows you to release and
renew?

if you mean CMD that brings the dos window up, I'm looking for the IP GUI
for windows xp

Start | Run | Type: cmd | OK
Type: ipconfig /? | hit ENTER
This will display the commands.
Copy and Paste into Notepad for reference.

There is no IP GUI. You may be referring to the 98 Winipcfg program

For XP you need to do start run CMD to get a command prompt

then type IPCONFIG /?

That will bring up all the commands

Release and renew are just that

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew

I happen to have Wntipcfg.exe Windows NT IPConfig Utility.
This has a GUI.

Thanks that does the dos version but I did have a gui windows version,
perhaps it was a tweak?

I did have one, I had to rebuild my system, It may have been a tweak or
somebody's shareware. I thought it was part of XP.
