My frined connects by dsl, is there a way he can dissable his Nat ? he has gone into his network connections and chose his LAN and gone through the properties and dissable his firewall that way, so is there a different way to dissable his NAT

it depends on what is doing NAT for him. if he has a router that is
probably doing the NAT so he would have to change the configuration of the
router, assuming he only has the one machine he wants to use. if he has
multiple machines on his lan but only one ip address from the dsl line he
has to use NAT or only one machine can use the connection.

if he is running ICS then he has to use NAT to serve the other machines on
his network.

oh, and firewalls are good, turn it back on.

Probably - check the manual.

However... no firewall, no NAT... Is your friend brave
or just nuts? ;-)
