Ip addresses

Mr Lee

I have two PC's connected on a network one wired, one wireless. Is there
a way to give them different IP addresses? I have seen two PC's from the
same modem have different IP's before, but i don't know how it was done.

Not sure what you're asking. Typically IP's are assigned by a router,
and they both will have different addresses automatically.

Router: 192.168.1.1
PC 1: 192.168.1.101 / subnet mask 255.255.255.0 / default gateway
192.168.1.1

PC 2: 192.168.1.102 / subnet mask 255.255.255.0 / default gateway
192.168.1.1
