IP address

my IP address keeps changing after I updated all of
microsofts updates.. I get this funky number
( fe80::2ao?:c9ff:fe25:a2fd%4 ) and I can not get out on
the web.. it won't ping, it won't connect.

Jim,

That's an IPV6 address. Are you running Advanced Networking, or Microsoft IPv6
(listed under Local Area Connection Properties)?
