I have a Windows XP Pro client computer that seems to automatically shutdown
at 7pm every night whether or not anybody is using it. I have checked the
system for the MSBlast worm and the system is clean and I have checked the
Event log and cannot find any reason why the client suddenly shuts down.

Any ideas as to what could cause this behaviour?

Hi

Is there anything in Scheduled Tasks that may be causing the problem?

I'm afraid not - I had the same idea that it could be something like that -
but it isn't.

Hi

Is the system completely switching off or going into some kind of 'hibernation' mode? If the system is switching off at the same time each day there must be an event triggering it. Has it starting recently - perhaps after installing new some new software or hardware?
