Inverted Mouse

Have an intelimouse explorer 2.0.
When I push the mouse up, pointer goes down.
When I drag the mouse down, pointer goes up.
left,right,scroll horiz.,vertical,all buttons work fine.
Have latest drivers. Have had this mouse for quite sometime now, but, the
problem just cropped up.
Anyone have any ideas as to what the solution might be for this problem?

Solved the problem, Though batteries were reporting good, by taking out the
bateries and reinstalling them (same ones), problem disappeared.
