Inverted mouse

When I push up on my mouse, the pointer goes down.
When I drag back on my mouse, the pointer goes up.
I have the intellimouse explorer 2.0 wireless mouse.
I have had it for quite some time, but this problem just cropped up.
Does anyone know how I can solve this problem?

In settings/control panel/mouse there are settings for the mouse set-up which
should include orientation. Please note that it may not be labled "mouse",
you may have to look for an icon with the device name or brand.

Woody, thanks for the input. but, won't work cause then I would have to stand
on my bald head to keep the left and right straight.:):). Everything about
the mouse works fine,Left, right, scroll up, scroll down etc. except for the
pointer being inverted.
Even tried to use the inverted scheme, as someone suggested on another forum.
Thanks anyway

Have you tried another mouse? This would tell you if it is the mouse
hardware or a computer software problem.

: John,Thanks for the input. But,it didn't do any good

Thanks Richard in AZ,
Had to go dig out an old wired mouse, but, that did narrow it down to the
mouse or it's software. I should have uninstalled it and reinstalled it,
which I will do now.
Many thanks again, don't know why I didn't think of that.:)

Well, uninstalling and reinstalling didn't help so the problem had to be in
the mouse itself:) Took out the batteries, replaced them ( same ones ), and
problem is fixed.
Thanks to all who answered to this post.

I want to find a wireless mouse that will allow me to invert the x and y
axis. Does anyone know of a mouse that fits this description?
