Invalid Page Fault

My copy of Exel 97 had been working perfectly for years
when suddenly I started receiving the following error
message:

EXCEL caused an invalid page fault in
module VBA332.DLL at 0177:651b5a03.

0062d370 00000000 0062d378 00000000

The program must be closed at that point. If I open it
with a shift-click I get it started but still with error
messages about add ins not being loaded. I reinstalled
the software but that did not fix anything.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Go the the Office 97 support site and download Eraser97.exe. This
removes every registry entry for Office97 that remains after first doing
a normal deinstallation of Office. After using it, reboot, then
reinstall. Also, download and install all the available service packs,
esp SR2.
