Dave that's not true.
I got support from them when my OEM couldn't find the answers to System Restore problems I was having
but they do tell you you are suppose to go to your OEM first and you do have to pay for it.

They wont support their /own/ product??

Are you a newbie or what?
OEM...is never Microsoft supported. It is always supported by the
company who supplied the OEM version of the software.

You win!. I really sorry I didn't read the whole web page and noticed
that! ;( But I will keep doubling or even tripling my specs when it comes
to MS recommended requirements.

Why? Are they known liars like Frank?

Cheers.

For technical iussues, perhaps, but the product itself is still
Microsoft's and they should support in it in these sort of matters.

My personal opinion is they want to sell to as many people as they can so they just recommend what will barely work but
as Saran said it will work on less But I still won't do that myself.

Other than helping those who are fed up with Vista and looking for a good
alternative, I have fun dealing with an idiot like you. It's just fun
knowing that I OWN your brain-injured, war torn, Vista fanboy ass. You feel
the need to read EVERY post I make here and respond with your idiotic
infantile brain. If nothing else, it helps humanity by keeping you busy and
off the streets. Since your mommy won't let you out of the house without
wearing your football helmet, it also keeps you from scaring kids in your
neighborhood. LOL!

Cheers.

PS. Frankie Boy, do read my sig. It's there to help YOU!!!! Also it will
give you more reason to feel you're important and warrant this type of
personal consideration and attention. Obviously, it's attention you seem to
crave.

Only MS can authorize reactivation.

Did you even read the orginal post?
But when I went to microsoft for support and they
asked for my key, I typed it in, checked it a good
5-10 times and made sure everything was perfect,
and they continued to tell me it was invalid.

There is NO reason why it shouldn't be accepting his key at the support
site. This is support for the operating system itself, which Microsfot
is damn well responsible for.

THe OEM is respoinsible for the computer asa whoel that they provide
you, but support for the operating system itself falls on MS's
shoulders, as it is their product.

Who the hell do you think you're kidding?

Thats probably the first correct thing you've ever said. Although the OP
wasn't attempting to reactivate, but to get into microsfot's support
site.

Only in terms of activation.

Saran, you are completely wrong.

The reason for an "invalid" key message is because it is an OEM disk.

The computer manufacturers(like Dell, HP, etc), buy cheap vista licences
from microsoft.

In return for CHEAP licences THEY(the computer manufacturers) agree to
supply ALL Technicial Support for hardware AND software, which includes the
operating system.

Got it now????

Who the hell do you think you're kidding?
So you are either too stupid or just plain too incompetent to correctly
install and properly run Vista, huh?
Well, people like you should proly stick with XP and even it may have
taken yrs for you to actually learn to properly configure and use.

Note that those are *not* what Microsoft recommends. They are the
minimum specs supported. Microsoft does not recommend that you run
with only 512MB of RAM. Realistically almost everyone needs at least
1GB, and most people will see an improvement by having 2GB.
