Interoffice Email System

I work in an office w/3 people, including myself. We are all on a LA
and we were hoping to set up some form of communication seperate fro
our email system. I was wondering if it were possible to create a
excel file that was shared by all three of us...and then if someho
everytime that the file was modified we could be notified???? Also,
was thinking of some sort of real-time notification that doesn'
involve email. Any suggestions would be great. Also, I welcome an
time of product suggestions if the above is not an option.

Have you thought of using something like MSN/AOL instant messenger?
(These are the devil's tools, though!)

Not quite instantaneous:

tools|Share workbook.
share it on the editting tab
give it a nice "update changes" "automatically every xx" minutes.

But the users will have to do a save for the changes to get propogated to the
other users.
