internet problem

My computer signs onto aol by itself, I have turned off
aol auto launch and windows auto update and it still signs
on numerous times an hour by itself.....

You could have a program running that tries to connect to
the net automatically to update itself, download (such a
a file shareing program) or other such programs that need
Internet access. Try closeing all programs cept for
windows and see if ti still happens. If it doesnt, then
open one program at a time over a period of a few mins,
and see which one causes aol to try to connect. Then once
you know what program is causeing it, go into that
programs settings and see if there is anyways of
removeing any auto dail options, or auto connect, auto
update, ect.
