I would like to install IIS on my Windows XP Home. Is it possible? How can I do this?

I don't see it in Add/Remove Windows Component

Do you see it listed under Add/Remove Windows Components (unde
Add/Remove Programs)

Then it's not part of the "Home" version of Windows XP. That's one of
the reasons why the Home version is cheaper: you don't get everything in
the more expensive Professional version. However, there is some
software that never appears in Add/Remove Windows Components. For
example, I believe you can install the NT Backup utility (which is not
included in a WinXP Home install) by navigating the install CD to find
its installation program (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=302894).
You never mentioned if you have the retail or OEM version. The OEM
version may not have the ValueAdd folder on the install CD
(http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=311246). If the IIS install program
isn't there, you don't get it.

If you want a freebie web server, I think Apache makes a Windows binary
distribution (www.apache.org); it's their "HTTP Server" (since that's
the protocol used for web servers). They might also now have a GUI
admin/configure utility rather than make you wade through its
configuration files. I don't know the numbers but I think this is
worldwide the most used web server.
