IIS for XP Hpme Edition

Is it possible to run IIS for XP Home Edition? I keep reading that Home
doesn't support IIS but a tech support guy from ACT software told me it does?
Can anyone help me figure how to run IIS from XP Home Edition?

There is a way if you do some serious hacking on the computer. Do so at
your own risk...

Google for: install iis windows xp home

Thanks for the info. Sounds like the smart thing to do would be to upgrade
to XP Pro.

A philosophical question might be: Why would you want to use IIS when
there are much better choices for sharing an internet connection?

The tech support guy is wrong. IIS is not supported under XP Home.

There are unofficial workarounds, and some people have successfully
done this, but I wouldn't recommend taking the risk entailed to do
them.

Or, use another web server.

I've been running Apache 2 on XP Home for 5 years.
