home edition trouble w/web installer platform IIS 7

I downloaded the Microsoft Web Platform Installer, and then proceeded to add
the applications. The web platform 2.0 screen where you load them and the
media compatability would not let me download anything. I came up with the
troulbleshooter "windows earlier editions supported the IIS 7 but the home
edition does not support IIS 7.0, only the beta version? therefore it does
not let the web platform work which uses the IIS 7. I have downloaded the IIS
7 manager, and I found a url IIS version 7 beta, but wanted to know if this
is what I need to access the web platform. I don't understand why I can't
download the applications on the web platform because of the home edition, or
why the beta version? I am ready to go back to using notepad and writing it
out in xhtml code, which may be quicker, considering how long this is taking
me! I really want to try this program, which looks great, but don't want to
have to put in a whole new OS to do it. Can anyone help me out here?
