I have Windows XP Home Edt. I need IIS and Home edition doesn' have it. What's my next move? Should I buy or upgrade XP Pro or Other software? All I want is the ability to have a Personal Wev Server to edit and test my web applications. Please Help

If you knew you needed IIS, then why didn't you purchase Pro to begin with?!
You will need to upgrade to Pro. Had you done your homework initially, you'd
have saved yourself the extra expense.

I know I purchased the wrong edition, but many people including myself were unaware that Home edition does not allow any type of PWS. Now I shall upgrade. Thank You.

Then those "many people" should have spent 30 seconds searching the MS
website and they'd have found this
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/whichxp.asp. Took me three clicks and 10
seconds.

That's the problem with 85% of the people who post here - whine
first...search - no actually most just whine.

Thanks for the link. Like I previously said, not everybody has the firsthand knowledge you have when purchasing a PC or software. Believe me I've surfed enough of MS site to come to search for my own answers, I just wanted the expert opinion. Most of people answers can actually be found within all these postings.
