IIS Problem

I'm installing IIS on an XP Pro SP II system.

I cannot connect to the "localhost" account or any virtual directories with
ASP. Virtual directories with HTML work fine. I'm getting a general error
500. If I turn the "Show Friendly Errors" off, it simply states that a
Server Application Error has occured.

Any help or suggestions would be appricated.
