Internet Explorers start getting launched

After my PC boots up many Internet Explorers start getting launched, and I can’t figure
out what process is launching them. This is almost making my PC unusable.
Can some tell where / how I can find out what processes will get launch when Windows
XP gets started ? Also there a way to do a XP reinstall without reformatting my hard drive.

to start with download and run these be sure to update them

tools

also do a full virus scan
