I have the same problem that James has so I copied his
email into this one. I am running XP, I have done
everything from reloading XP, editing the reg and reloading
Internet Explorer, reloading several other programs,
cleaning the register and other things. Nothing worked. I
was able to get on line through my cable modem and now I am
using Netscape, at least it is working. Listed below is the
email from James (it saved me from typing it).

I need help too.

this was the initial message i recieved...

Internet Explorer has encountered problems and needs to
close. We have created an error report that you can send
to help us improve IE. We will treat this report as
confidential.

click for details...

This report includes information regarding the condition
of IE when the problem occurred; the operating system
version and computer hardware in use, your digital product
ID, which could be used to identify your liscence, and the
Internet Protocal address of your computer.

again, click for more info...

then the jibberish...something about Exceptional
Information, code and flags. Something on System Info,
vendor code, bla bla. Module 1 Image base, Image size,
etc... and all the rest a lot of technical stuff about
modules 1,2, 3, etc... that`s it.

John,
The keywords are ntdll & winshow.
CWShredder 1.51 from http://www.zerosrealm.com/downloads/CWShredder.zip will
clean this up.

You might want to scan for other malware with Ad-aware and Spybot.
See: Dealing with Unwanted Spyware and Parasites:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
Also note the security tips on that page.
