Whenever I type an website into the address bar it comes
up not found, even thought I know the address is correct.
I have experimented with many different addresses and the
same results. Please help!!

Try this...Tools>Internet Options>Connections>LAN
Click to expand...
Settings and uncheck "Automatically detect settings".
I assume you're using Win XP.
