Internet Explorer Freezes

whenever i type into the address field on the internet
explorer 6.0 version it freezes up. i have no viruses or
spyware on my computer. please help

Hi :)

Try the following and see if it helps:

Resets all the IE functions - for windows, hangups,

Start> Run> Paste this
regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll

and then do the same with each one of the following..

regsvr32 Shell32.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
regsvr32 Urlmon.dll

or.........

Unable to search from IE6 Address Bar

Check the Registry to see if this file is there. Sometime during removal of
hijackers or spyware files in the Registry can get corrupted or removed as
well. If not, try adding this line to this part of the registry.

(watch for the wrap, it should be all on one line)

Can't customize search options

I recently ran Spybot Search and Destroy and Spyblaster to rid my system of
spyware. Ever since I did that, I cannot run IE Explorer, version 6. I get
the "this program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down"
notice. I'm running on Windows 98 and nothing I have down will change this
aggravation (including reinstalling Explorer). Has Spybot somehow affected
calling my browser up? I am at a complete loss for what to do. Please help.

Hi willcane :)

In removing some types of spyware, the Internet connection can be lost. I
am not that familiar with Win98, but, try the following and see if it helps:

Download, install and run LSPFIX from any of the following sites:
