I wonder if anyone can help my friend ,she has windows2000 she is on
broadband but everytime she tries to open IE its telling her that it cant
open up explorer as its damaged, i looked on the install/uninstall to see if
theres an option to repair it but its not there to repair. she then totally
uninstalled it
so my question is how can we get on line to try to either download a
differant browser or try to get a fresh IE , is it possible to get one on
disc or even buy it thx in antisipation xxx

Hi,

First you need to go on your computer or anyone elses and
go to the following links;

1) This file needs to go to your desktop and the put onto
a CD Rom, it's the IE 6.0 explorer, it will instigate
going to Microsoft to download the entire explorer and
then istall it.

2) Next you need this High Encryption Patch to upgarde
the first installation from 56 bit to 128 bit, this part
needs to be put on a CD Rom the same as in step 1).

Hopefully a compltee reinstall will help correct your
issues.

I also recommend some Spyware programs, as the Explorer
may have been corrupted. Try Adaware or Spybot, you can
get them both at www.majorgeeks.com, left column spyware
tools.

Best o' luck

thx for the help but the first thing thar you recommended is only bringing
up this message

"The download you requested is unavailable. If you continue to see this
message when trying to access this download, you might try the "Search for a
Download" area on the Download Center home page"
