I can open up as many new windows in IE as I want, but whenever I try to
close one of them I get the "not responding" message, click on "end now" and
all windows close. Also, after I log off and try to shut down I get the
IE.exe not responing message and have to click on end now to fully shut down.
Any ideas? I thought I could uninstall IE and start over, but how? It's not
on the list in the Add or Remove function.

Your system may be infected with spyware. Spyware can cause IE to do many
weird things. The page below details several fine products that can assist
you with scanning/removing any spyware that might be on your system.

Donny, I have, and run, Trend Micro Anti Spyware version 3.11 as well as
McAfee Viruscan build 10.0.27 and McAfee personal firewall plus build
7.1.113. I will run it again, and I also have, but don't currently use, Web
Root spyware. I also was on with Dell support the other day, and as my
computer was new in late Dec. '05 I did a recovery to weed out olf registry
items etc that might have been transferred from my old computer. By the way,
I also have trouble with Outlook as it won't send my messages but holds them
in the outbox. Not sure what to do next, any ideas would be appreciated.
