Recently Internet Explorer has started to load very slowly. It takes about
25 seconds for the window to open. My default home page is 'about:blank'.
While the IE window is opening, there is a tremendous amount of HD
activity. I am running a 2.GHZ P4 with 120gig HD and 512mb memory. All
other
Programs/windows (explorer, outlook express, etc.) open very fast as they
I have 2 accounts on My XP Home system. Administrator and User1. User1 has
full admin rights. The slow loading condition only happens when logged on as
User1. When logged on as Administrator, Internet explorer opens instantly.
When I look at Control Panel/System/Advanced/User Profiles/Settings User1
size is 420mb and administrator is only about 2mb. On my 25 client network
at work the largest 'User Size' I have found is about 29mb.
Does this help explain the problem?
I have repaired IE
I have run Spy-Bot, Ad-Aware, Pest Partol, BHODemon and all have found a few
things but none have helped fix the problem.
Thanks,
Bob Hiller
