Internet Explorer Problem

Whenever my daughter tries to start Internet Explorer on her new PC, running
Windows XP, it simply opens the error reporting function and sends a report
to Microsoft. IE6 does not appear on the screen. Windows Media Player, MSN
Explorer, Outlook Express, etc. all work fine and connect to the Internet
without any problems. I have tried to remove IE6 using the add / remove
function in control panel, and I have installed all available updates via
Windows Update, but the problem persists. I would be grateful for any
suggestions.

If the PC is new it should still be under warranty. Let the folks
who sold it to you get it working the way it should. Also, IE6 can
not be removed by using add\remove from Control Panel.

.
I got it from dell and I have tried windows support all
day you cannot get threw on the line, I have tried to
add/remove this and reinstall and it happens again. There
must be some tie to the operating system that does not
allow it to be deleted
