Internet Explorer Freezing Computer

Lately whenever I use my computer with Internet explorer
My computer will completly freeze. It never happens in
another program, only IE. So far I cant figure out a
pattern if there is one. It seems to be freezing at
random times. I have all the latest everything (drivers,
IE SP, etc.). The only other thing that I can think of
now is to either format (which I dont want to do) or
attempt a complete gutting of IE and reinstall
everything. I've allready tried doing an simple reinstall
on it and it didnt help. Is there anything that you can
think of that will help?

just two thoughts, things you could try.

Make sure you don't have "Automatically detect network settings"
enabled in the Internet Options.

Also make sure you don't have IEEE 802.1X authentication enabled
on your LAN connection (unless you actually have such a server
running).
