Internet Explorer doesn't work but other browsers do

When I use internet explorer I always get "The page cannot
be displayed" But all my other browsers work: netscape and
mozilla. Also Intsant message programs still work. I
tried everything and can't figure it out. I have tried
re-installing, setup wizard, and so on. Any ideas?

hey, i also have this same exact problem, my mozilla is
working fine, but my internet explorer isn't working and i
can't figure out why, but if you do find a solution, please
post it here because this has been annoying me, thanks.

Don Varnau was kind enough to solve my same problem!
It seems like the winsock is busted and needs to be repaired.
Here's the links he sent me. I used the one at spycheck and it
worked.

You might still have malware installed and running. Did you use CWShredder
and Ad-aware and Spybot?
