Internet Explorer does not open my FTP

My Internet explorer keeps giving me a error message when
I go to my FTP account. I used to be able to look at it,
now it's giving me a error message and kicking me off the
internet....Help Me

Internet Options> Advanced: Look for the "passive mode" setting for FTP.
Try accessing with and without this enabled.
