Internet explorer does not connect

problem began when I installed new Linksys wireless router at different house
and continued when I reverted to old Linksys router at first house. Linksys
support had me ping to yahoo which worked, but I get not responding message
when I try to open Explorer. Error report to Microsoft showed error signature

- What the Ipconfig /all report?
- What your Firewall settings? Try to allow the wireless/Network access to
the internet.

Did you powered the Router Down and the Computer for about 2 minutes then
Power the Router UP and wait for a Minute or so then Power the Computer Up
and wait for a minute or so and try to connect or Access the router Wev page
and reset the settings or check the settings and also on your NIC are set
correct. Since the New router settings not kept on the Old Router you will
need to reconfigure/renter the settings on both the Router and the machine.

# You may have a bad RAM try to test your RAM by running Memory test by
downloading this tool and unzip it and make a floppy or CD/DVD and run it on
Reboot.

You may need to reposition/reset the RAM sticks in their slots.
# Run this command:
sfc /scannow

# Have a look in the Device Manager and see if the Device is malfunctioning,
to access the Device Manager do the following:
Right click My Computer and select Properties, on the system Window click on
Hardware Tab then Click on Device manager.


Try this:
# Click Start >> Control panel >> Network and Internet Connections >> Double
click Network connections, then right your LAN Icon and select Properties.
On the LAN properties under General make sure the Internet Protocol TCP/IP
is selected and click Properties.
There make sure the Machine Get assigned Automatically IP address and Renter
the Encryption Key and the Network SSID then click
[OK].

# Click start >> Control Panel >> Double Click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options, on the IE Properties window
you will see these Options:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs
| Advanced.
Click on Connections tab and make sure the Connection is listed there then
click on LAN settings button and uncheck Automatically detect settings.
Click [OK] and close Hit F5

# Open a Run command type in:
ipconfig /flushdns click [OK]
ipconfig /renew click [OK]
netsh winsock reset click [OK]
Reboot your machine and see if you can access any website/link easily and
without the cannot connect error message.

Click Apply and you will get Configuration Parameters recheck them and click
Apply to apply.

Click Apply changes

this down on a piece of paper instated of the default one like belkin54g or
linksys.
ESSID Broadcast ( ) Enable (*) Disable select the disable Radio
button
Wireless Mode > [ (11b + 11g) â–¼]
Transmission Rate> [Automatic â–¼]
g Nitro> ( ) Enable ( ) Disable

The above step is the most sensitive you need to set it Right to get your
Network secure from your neighborhood and from the Internet (WWW)


Wireless > Security > WPA
WPA > [ WPA-PSK (no server) â–¼]
Encryption technique TKIP
Pre-shared Key (PSK) [ Type a memorable sentence you only can guess ]


[√ ] obscure PSK check this to Hash your Password.
Click Apply changes.

Click Apply Changes

If the above didn't help send the error messages in the Event Viewer.
# Open a Notepad, customize or minimize to the taskbar as you will need it
later for this step to copy the error message on it.
Open a run command and type in:
eventvwr.msc click [OK] you will get the Event viewer control Panel.
click on each of these:
Application
System
Security
Look in the right Pane/window for error message with red (X) or Yellow
exclamation mark /!\ , double click each one to get more info about the
causer.
On the Event error properties message you will see:
Up Arrow
Down arrow
Two pages
Click on the two pages to copy the error message then bring up the Notepad
you opened earlier and right click on the first line and select Paste from
the list, this will paste the error message on a Notepad.
Please don't duplicate the error message one of each kind will be sufficient.

Please we need just the error messages with Red (X) and don't repeat the
