Internet Explorer desktop icon

On the desktop Internet Explorer displays as a yellow
folder with an Internet Explorer window overlapping in
front that has multi-color icons. How do I restore the
original blue e icon for IE 6 without having to create a
shortcut that lacks properties. Thanks

Try this:
Right-click on an open area on the Desktop, go to
Properties, then the Desktop tab, then hit the Customize
button. If Internet Explorer is unchecked, check it and
hit OK, then OK again. If it is checked, uncheck it, hit
OK then OK again, then go back in the same way and this
time check it, then OK, OK. That should put it back.
