internet explorer crashes a lot on tablet pc

I am currently running Windows XP, with services pack 2 on a tablet PC
(fujitsu).

Internet Explorer crashes all the time... I can not figure out exactly
when. It amost always does this when it trys to pop up a window to
another site...but it does it pretty often even when that is not the
case. I can not determine exactly why but it seems to do it quite a bit

I don't get any errors it just stops running..(i suppose crash is the
wrong word). It locks up andI eventually have to go into the task
manager to shut it down (where it says not responding)

Is there a way to fix this?

Also, i went into the event viewer and I found a lot of:

Hanging application IEXPLORE.EXE, version 6.0.2900.2180, hang module
hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.


I have checked for viruses etc...none found
