IE with ActiveX and Windows XP Tablet PC Edition

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to troubleshoot an issue where when closing an internet explorer
window that is displaying an ActiveX control crashes/locks up all internet
explorer windows. This issue only happens in the Tablet PC Edition of XP.
Professional and Home Editions work fine. I was told that a possible
solution was:

1.Click Start, click Run, type intl.cpl, and then click OK.
2.Click the Languages tab, and then click Details.
3.Click the Advanced tab, and then click to clear the Extend support of
advanced text services to all programs check box.
4.Click OK three times, and then restart your computer.

However this solution turns off the handwriting recognition on the Table PC.

If anyone has any thoughts, please let me know.

BTW, here is my setup:

Fujitsu Stylistic ST Series
Windows XP Tablet PC Edition w/SP2
IE 6.0 (6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519)

Thanks,

Kevin

Are you posting from the machine in question? Headers of your post
(Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2800.1506) tell us that WinXP SP2 is not
installed.
