Internet Explorer connectivity problems!!

I am a fairly new Win2K Administrator and have AD with XP Pro on m
desktops. There is one user who I cannot get connected to the interne
via IE v6. I have tried everything from config in DHCP to GPO's an
still cannot find source of the issue. Pls HELP

In their IP config, do they have a default gateway & DNS server defined?
Can they ping your internal router/gateway by IP address? Ping a public DNS
server by IP address? Ping www.yahoo.com ?
What happens when they try connecting thru IE?
 
yes, i already looked at all that
1) I can ping default gateway, DNS server, it is all defined
2) cannot ping www.yahoo.com--tried that
3)when trying to connect to IE--error --server not found

And you're using DHCP, so this desktop gets the same settings as others? You
have only your internal AD-integrated DNS server's IP set as the DNS server
in your DHCP scope, and have forwarders to your ISP's DNS servers in your
DNS server properties itself?
